TWO TRAINS TODAY!:

1. Saturday 20th June - (The Heart of Wales’) steam hauled charter train – Train starts diesel hauled from Chesterfield and travels via Alfreton, Langley Mill, East Midlands Parkway, Loughborough, Leicester, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield Trent Valley, Stafford and Crewe to Shrewsbury – Train is steam hauled between Shrewsbury and Cardiff (Pengam Sidings) travelling via Craven Arms, Llandrindod Wells, Llandovery, Pantyffynnon, Hendy Junction, Swansea District Line, Port Talbot Parkway and Cardiff Central Motive power will comprise ex. LMS ‘Black Five’ 4-6-0 steam locomotive No. 45305 ‘Alderman A.E. Draper’ and (LNER) Thompson Class B1 4-6-0 steam locomotive No. B61306 ‘Mayflower’ – Train returns (diesel hauled) from Cardiff (Pengam Sidings) via Newport, Chepstow, Lydney, Gloucester, Ashchurch for Tewkesbury, King’s Norton, Birmingham New Street, Water Orton, Nuneaton, Leicester, Loughborough, East Midlands Parkway, Langley Mill and Alfreton to terminate at Chesterfield.

[Time of arrival at Llandrindod Wells Station – 13.00. Time of departure from there – 14.30].

Saturday 20th June – (‘The Heart of Wales Rambler’) – Train expected to be hauled by a DB Schenker Class 66 diesel locomotive – Train starts from Exeter St. David’s and travels via Taunton, Bristol Temple Meads, Severn Tunnel, Newport, Hereford, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, Llandrindod Wells, Llandovery, Pantyffynnon, Hendy Junction, Swansea District Line, Port Talbot Parkway, Cardiff Central, Newport, Severn Tunnel, Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton to terminate at Exeter St. David’s.
